1. Charlie Daniels fried his brain on drugs years ago.
Then he dropped the coke and booze and picked up two new addictives. Religion and Blind Nationalism.
His career was in the toilet and he did a Dennis Miller.

2. Speaking of Charlie Daniels, someone onced asked what I...
had against Gretchen Wilson. Besides the fact that she is a flag waving, jingoistic B****, she is a huge fan of Charlie Chickenhawk Daniels and Hank Williams Jr. Pelosi was right to open dialouge with Syria.

3. Good Reply by someone
"Charlie, you act as though Mrs. Pelosi went over to Syria all by herself!

Not only was she accompanied by State Department officials, but 3 Republicans were part of the House delegation.

What do you have to say about Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-AL), Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA), and Reps. David Hobson (R-OH)?

And what about this statement they released from the U.S. Embassy in Syria....

"The U.S. House members, who included Virginia Republican Frank Wolf, Pennsylvania Republican Joe Pitts and Alabama Republican Robert Aderholt, also said they had raised with Syrian officials the issue of stopping the alleged flow of foreign fighters from Syria to Iraq.
In a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Damascus, the congressmen said they had talked about "ending support for Hezbollah and Hamas, recognizing Israel's right to exist in peace and security, and ceasing interference in Lebanon."
"We came because we believe there is an opportunity for dialogue," the statement said. "We are following in the lead of Ronald Reagan, who reached out to the Soviets during the Cold War," it added. "

They chit chatted with the very folks Nancy did.

A Senate delegation comprised of Republicans AND Democrats are off to Syria next!

Any thoughts on everyone else that participated in this, and the fact the Senate is going next, or do you only think about Madame Speaker?

Ignoring of course the other republicans that went to Syria with Pelosi as well.

To them I say Pelosi has more legitimate reasons to talk diplomacy with Syria (especially since Bush refuses to) than Bush has to go hand holding with the heads of states of terror like Saudi Arabia.

If pressed, most of these morans couldn't even tell you what she was there for, and that was to reiterate US policy to Assad, reinforce the administration's demands on Syria such as support of terrorism, and interference in Lebanon. She actually even told Assad that despite other political differences in the US, Bush and Congress speak with one voice when it comes to Syria.

I did notice that there was one pretty decent poster that came up with some of those viable points and no one on that sad train wreck of a board had the guts to debate him on it.

Bottom line: the criticism of Pelosi for hers and the Republican Congressmen who went with her = grasping for straws.
