The experts are saying it will cost $1 trillion dollars over the next ten years to cover every American with health care. That will average out to $100 billion per year. Consider that the Defense budget this year will be $660 billion dollars. For one year!
The difference being that in 10 years we will get none of the money back from this bloated Defense budget. However, the money that will be spent on health care is expected to pay for itself, with savings and competition mostly.
So, when they talk about how much the health care reform is going to cost us, they are not being totally honest about it. The trillion dollars is spread over ten years and it is expected to get a return after ten years. Just a few details that should be discussed.
