Then everyone go the emergency room route. We could really force their hand.

3. That would make the DLC'ers even more determined to go the Mandatory Corporate insurance route

"We'll keep United Healthcare's profits high, even if we have to FORCE you to buy"

4. It would be wonderful if the FEAR was faced, wouldn't it?
I hear so much fear when people talk about not having insurance.

we don't have insurance. and people freak out when they hear that.

No one remembers that insurance is a failrly new game., (speaking from the perspective of 60 decades on the planet.)

Now they are selling insurance for pets. LOTS of it.

6. Anyone who buys health insurance is a mark
The only thing I can think of that has less possibility of a return is sending your money to a televangelist.

7. Most Americans are much too selfish, lazy, self-centered, and complacent to do that.
Edited on Fri Jul-24-09 05:55 PM by AndyA
In fact, they're too selfish, lazy, self-centered and complacent to do ANYTHING unless it directly has an impact on their lives.

That's why Walmart is the biggest retailer in the country, with store after store full of cheap imported crap, each item likely representing LOST JOBS HERE IN AMERICA.

That's why the Walmart parking lot is full of foreign cars.

That's why we import more than we export, and we cannot be competitive with other countries until the working conditions are equal.

Now just wait...there will be people showing up at any time telling you why I'm wrong. They can't afford to shop anywhere else but Walmart, or there's nothing else close to them but a Walmart.

All American cars are crap. That's why you see EVERY ONE BROKEN DOWN at the side of the road. Did you make it home tonight in your American car? Well, apparently that's a miracle! (Or they'll tell you that their foreign car was made here, but that corporate headquarters in a foreign company saw NO PROFIT WHATSOEVER from their purchase.)

Americans are so stupid they are literally shopping themselves out of jobs, and they can't seem to figure it out. So, it would truly be a miracle if you could find many willing to give up anything for the greater good.

use the emergency room services because of all of the folks that cancelled their health insurance to make a political statement.

10. Doctors and hospitals would have to be in on it.
The collective would probably have to have a lot of money in reserve also.
