GOP-organized MOB TACTICS worked before. Remember?
Edited on Tue Aug-04-09 01:00 PM by Julius Civitatus
I just wanted to give everyone here a bit of perspective on the quasi-violent mobs that the GOP is organizing to disrupt townhall meetings all over the country. This is not the first time that Republicans organize this type of thuggish intimidatory tactics. What's worse... it worked before.

Remember this merry gang?

That fake riot organized by and composed of GOP staffers managed to SHUT DOWN THE FLORIDA RECOUNT IN THE 2000 ELECTIONS.

Remember that?
The media bought it as a "grassroots" expression of popular anger.

Now, keep this is mind: THIS IS WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST. They will continue this angry, thuggish intimidation campaign until they shut down Healthcare Reform. And then they will do it again for the next new initiative. Please don't think this is not going to stop, or that they will just get bored and go away. This is how they play. This is their twisted concept of "democracy". It needs to be exposed all over the media. We need to make sure that people in the media understand these are mobs organized by allies of the Republican party to sink healthcare or any other progressive initiative from the Obama administration. They will not stop.

Beware.

2. Of course they do. That's how they play.
This is how the GOP rolls: fear, intimidation, veiled threats, mobs.

3. they got their eight-year misadministration out of it. Most everyone else just sat at home
and let it happen.

Will it be different this time?

5. They are now organized as American's for Prosperity, and Freedomworks.
The lobbyist-run groups Americans for Prosperity and FreedomWorks, which orchestrated the anti-Obama tea parties earlier this year, are now pursuing an aggressive strategy to create an image of mass public opposition to health care and clean energy reform. A leaked memo from Bob MacGuffie, a volunteer with the FreedomWorks website Tea Party Patriots, details how members should be infiltrating town halls and harassing Democratic members of Congress:http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/31/recess-harassment-memo/

8. It would help for some of the 70% who support a public option would show up, yes.
But we can't lower ourselves to acting like thugs, as they do. We won't be treated so deferentially by the M$M.

Here's how to do it:

7. We need to go Colbert on them
they travel to town hall meetings, we join in, only take take their corporatist ideology to it's illogical conclusion:

Yell that privatized health care is better because it's good to be dropped from your plan when you're sick!

You don't want to spend double, you want to spend QUADRUPLE on your unregulated private plan!

If there's a public option, who will you fight with to get your medicines and tests covered?

If they start singing, join in, only sing German marching songs from you know what era.

If they start yelling different things all at once, raise that right arm up high and yell "sieg heil!"

Take someone else's point, agree with them, and blame it on the Jews.

Make the deathers admit as to why they're really out there.

Someone else could make this idea funny because these neo-nazi corporatist whack-jobs make me too angry.
