Paula Abdul leaving American Idol ..Oh the horror of it all

Abdul announced late Monday night on her official Twitter page that she will not be returning the highly popular show.

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon,” the statement said on Abdul’s verified Twitter account.

A statement from Fox and the companies the produce the show, verified that Abdul was leaving.

My life as I know it is now officially over. What reason is there to keep on living?
Sure, I will probably trudge on through my miserable existence without Paula Abdul on American Idol, but it will never be the same. The air will never again seem as crisp, food will no longer have its same taste, jokes won't seem as funny, beautiful women will not seem as good looking as they once did, and life in general will just seem so blaise.
