Couple Charged: Son, 7, Weighed Only 15 Pounds

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Police have charged a South Carolina couple with neglect after their disabled 7-year-old son was admitted to the hospital weighing just 15 pounds.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported Thursday that 31-year-old Yolanda Yvette Pugh was arrested on Tuesday and charged with neglecting her son, who has cerebral palsy and other health issues.

Police say the boy was taken to a hospital May 15 because his feeding tube had fallen out and he was malnourished. The boy was taken into a foster home and has since gained 7 pounds.

Pugh is being held at a Moncks Corner jail on $100,000 bond, and authorities are still searching for 34-year-old Benny Lee Penninger. It was not clear if either Pugh or Penninger had an attorney.

3. Awwww. Baby.
I hope he can realize that something is wrong with THEM and not him. And also, not everyone is like that.
