GOP congressman jeered for telling people to stop watching Glenn Beck.
Via Think Progress:

Rep. Bob Inglis (R-SC) faced a “rowdy” crowd at a town hall forum on health care yesterday. Inglis said that he was against the health care policies being advocated by the Obama administration and “won applause for advocating medical liability reform.” However, the crowd revolted when Inglis told people to “turn the TV off” and stop listening to Glenn Beck.

It's in the first minute of this video:

Talk about a Congressman who doesn't "get" his constituents. Sheesh. This ain't your party, buddy. The GOP belongs to Beck, Rush, O'Reilly and their ilk.

1. Kudos to Rep. Inglis
He's the first Republican I've heard that thinks they should back away from the crazy.

2. I suspect there are others. But they seem to understand the cause is hopeless...
...and have decided to resign or retire.

4. The inmates have officially taken over the asylum. The GOP has noone to blame but themselves
they harnessed this crazy for several election cycles for personal/political gain and now it's devolved into mob mentality.

Good luck with that Congressman. Beck isn't going anywhere soon!

5. That's a good way of putting it.
Watching Republicans these days is like watching some crappy reality TV show, complete with fake drama and zero point whatsoever.

9. Unfortunately a generation of kids is growing up to think that the behavior they see
on those shows is normal and acceptable. I hate to be at the point of the "Oh, the younger generation" and "It's the tv's fault," but I think it's kinda true.

Of course, apparently a lot of middle aged rethuglicans think it's normal, too. What's their excuse?

Than again...just kidding, I'm done arguing with myself for the moment...

7. Of course it's Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, Bill-O, and Savage getting these crowds pumped up
and it's funded by the insurance companies...

11. Give Inglis credit.
He and Lindsey Graham have stood up to them. However, I won't applaud too much because they waited too long.
