I am so pissed off at the Town Hall disrupters...

Healthcare! I can not believe that we can be so dumb as a society. Look at how other countries are and have been handlig their health care. I have travelled all over the world singing and speaking as part of my work and also in a boy choir as a child. Just about every country has some form of medical care for EVERYBODY in their nation...most of them are socialized or single payer. They spend less than we do and their citizens don't have to worry about end of life financial ruin.

On a personal note: I was born in Germany in 1957. As a very young infant I contracted a case of encephalitis. It put me in intensive care for about 3 months and an additional 3 months stay in the hospital for the first eyar of my life. The bill for that stay and evrything included in it: one bill $11.57 (equiv. in German Marks) probably about $350.00 in today's economy.

Fast forward 37 years. In 1987 I had cancer and whiule it was rough financially for a bit, I had insurance and we made it though albeit barely. In 1994 I was uninsured because of having to change jobs. No insurance company would take me. I got cancer again and this time because of no insurance the bill was $168,000.00 we lost everything we had and the bills still came and I still needed tratment..so we filed for bankruptcy...and the bills still came and I still needed tratment, so I filed for bankruptcy again and again and again because it stopped the clock on collections and that meant with this group medical providers I would continue to be treated....the creditors filed a grievance and I was charged with abuse of the United States Bankruptcy Court and spent 11 months in Federal prison as a result...would I do it again..you bet!!! In heart beat!!! That manuever saved my life...BUT...I should have never had to do that and in just about anyother country I wouldn't have had to.

IT'S TIME FOR A SINGLE PAYER UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM in this country and these ignorant low information voters need to STFU!!!
