Another reminder of my lefty, progressive family. My brother's going to hear Thom.

My brother just called. He's going to hear Thom Hartmann speak next week at a book signing, and wondered if I had any Thom books I'd like signed. This is yet another reminder of how consistently progressive my family is. I keep reading of DUers who have arguments with family members, or can't discuss politics with them. In my family, we are hate the freepers! Another interesting thing is that this is tied closely to my family's strong faith tradition. My brother and I both have degrees in theology, and my whole family is active in progressive churches--UCC, Episcopalian or Mennonite.

And I am grateful for my wacky, lefty family.
