The right wing freak show at health care meetings
Edited on Mon Aug-10-09 06:30 PM by steven johnson
The traditional town hall meeting, a staple of Congressional constituent relations, had been hijacked, overrun by sophisticated social networking campaigns. Right wing groups are coaching protesters on how to disrupt town hall events hosted by members of Congress. Ironically, Fox News recommended hecklers be "Tased or beaten to a pulp" when protesters were going after Republicans.

I would guess the right wing freak show will continue until the corporate ghost in the machine pulls the plug and all of the zombies will drop in their tracks like good robots.

Who's Behind the Town Hall Protests?

CNN) -- The battle raging over President Obama's health care plan has spread from across the aisles in Congress to across the country.

Senators this week joined their colleagues from the House at town hall meetings as they spent their August recess in their home districts.

But disruptive protests are turning town hall meetings into shouting matches and drowning out discussion over what is and isn't in health care plans in the House and Senate.

Democrats have accused conservative groups of manufacturing the outrage, while others say the uproar is a reflection of the opposition to Obama's plans.
