What, no Joe Scab thread!!!...
He deserves to be eviscerated each and every morning here on du. It really just needs to be done daily. Oh, and while you're at it, mika mouse needs tons of your consternation too.

What a couple of creeps. It makes me want to rethink my personal habits of being an early riser and turning on this shit.

I say Glen Beck and Lou Dobb their asses every chance you get. They not only deserve it, they've earned it.

2. yeah, because razzing that stupid asshole is just soo important.
there will undoubtedly be many posts on this thread. Discussing the takeover of congressional town hall meetings and how to counter it? Shrug.

3. You know what cali, I'm just gonna flat give up....
on coming in here and thinking I might, just might get a kinder, gentler cali. Although, I agree with a great many things you have to say, I just can't reconcile myself to the way you feel like you have to say them.

10. sorry, I just don't think the obsession about scarborough is particularly
meaningful or worthy of endless threads. And I didn't insult or attack you in any way whatsoever. Perhaps you need a thicker skin.

14. It's not an obsession for 99% of the people that start, what?...
Edited on Tue Aug-11-09 07:14 AM by nomaco-10
none, one or two threads a day? Why do you deny this little guilty pleasure? There's probably more than a hundred other threads that people can get involved in that don't enjoy a scab thread.

Just cuz you and a few others have a problem with it, doesn't mean we should quit discussing morning joe.

I'm kind of a live and let live person when it comes to these non important issues such as a scab and mika threads in the early morning hours here at du.

4. ok, I'll cop to watching a bit of it this morning
Joe got into a little skirmish with Mark Halperin early this morning. Joe was doing the Republican routine of "Who would have guesssssed that Obama would be such a flaming liberal?!" (yes, after Joe saying that Obama's policies were socialist all during the campaign, etc), and Mark Halperin said that Waxman, Pelosi, etc are doing what they think is right. Joe went on a warpath and started pissing "I wish that people in 1995 would have said that WE were trying to do the right thing, I just kept hearing about how RADICAL and EXTREME we were!" Mark said "Isn't that what you are saying about the Democrats?" Joe got really mad.

5. Despite what some people around here say,
it's no disgrace to watch the show and throw things at the TV, etc. Gets the blood moving early in the AM, and is a consistent reminder of how shallow these RWers are...and what liars they are...

wrote the playbook on how to be as angry and nasty as the right wingers attending and disrupting the Town Hall Meetings. In fact, it was not only their 1st amendment right, he goes on to say, it's their duty as good murikans, to go to these meetings and speak their minds and reek havoc where ever they go.

He loves to revise history every chance he gets.

By the way, good morning Erin.

9. it gives me insight into that day's right wing talking points
And it's fun seeing people who are not remotely liberal like Mark Halperin get pissed at Joe just because Joe is such a dick.

8. Speak their minds. Joe, Mika and crew ought to show their viewers
a tape of a Town Hall meeting about healthcare and let them make up their minds. Haven't seen much video footage the last few days. Wonder why that is? :sarcasm:

11. I don't know, but I'm almost sorry...
I started this thread.

I'm a morning person, and always have been. What is even more unusual, I guess, is that I wake up in a good mood.

It takes a whole helluva lot more than scab and mika to get my day off to a bad start. I watch it for the pure entertainment value, and the occasional good guest that could possibly be informative if joe didn't interupt them and talk over them. Hell, even mika interupts scab. It's a trainwreck for sure all around, but I sure get tired of a few posters around here trying to make us feel like crap about it.

BTW, good morning, hope you have a great day.

17. How kind of you to wish me a great day. I watch 'Joe' to see what
the talking points are going to be for the day. The unfortunate part is that too many listeners take Joe and Mika seriously.

15. Stop watching cable news...
It's horrible.
It's meaningless.
And nobody other than people with already set in stone opinions watch it.

If you have to watch tv news of some sort, and want to know what message is getting out to the average, normal, not heavily political middle ground americans than watch local morning or network news. Same in the evening.

So watching Joe Scab or Matthews or whoever doesn't let us know "what the enemy is saying so we can counter it" because nobody's opinion is going to be changed by watching those shows. They simply want to either reinforce opinions they already had, or purposely get themselves riled up.
