Lou Dobbs promoting hate & violence towards Governor Howard Dean - Link to protest here:
From email from Democracy for America:

It's time to get Lou Dobbs and his hate speech off the air.

Yesterday, our friends at Media Matters for America, who are dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media, caught Lou Dobbs promoting hate and inciting violence towards Governor Howard Dean.

With violence from right-wing extremist groups on the rise and Republican backed mobs hanging cardboard versions of members of congress in effigy, Lou Dobbs' statement is dangerous. Enough is enough.

It's time for CNN and the United Stations Radio Network to fire Lou Dobbs.
Call Now and demand Lou Dobbs be taken off the air -

WATCH THE CLIP AND GET THE NUMBERS TO CALL NOW: http://www.democracyforamerica.com/activities/180

This isn't the first time Lou Dobbs has used the air waves to promote hate and embarrass CNN.

His relentless promotion of debunked, racially charged conspiracy theories about President Obama's birth certificate have already seriously damaged CNN's credibility. Yet, Lou Dobbs remains on the air.

Now, he's gone too far. He's not just making CNN look bad, he's inciting violence to stop Governor Dean from fighting for President Obama's health insurance option. That's not just un-American, it's irresponsible and dangerous.

It's up to us to make sure CNN and the United Stations Radio Network know we've had enough.

CNN: 404-827-1500

United Stations Radio Network:
New York Phone: (212) 869-1111
Los Angeles Phone: (310) 268-9292

Enough is enough. With violence from right-wing extremist groups on the rise and Republican backed mobs hanging cardboard versions of members of congress in effigy, Lou Dobbs statement is un-American, irresponsible and dangerous.

It’s time for Lou Dobbs to be pulled off the air.

3. NPR?!?
National 'Publican Radio?

They haven't been impartial since they sacked Bob Edwards and decided to spout the right-wing talking points Karl Rove handed them. All in exchange for being able to continue a bit of government grant money. I don't think there is any media that is just reporting news and events in the way Walter Cronkite did. Now each morsel of news comes with a huge serving of editorial.

Welcome to DU, :hi: hope you have fun here.

4. Dobbs leans far to the right. Not everyone on CNN does
but in general they are a right-leaning network.

Secondly... it depends on who you ask. CNN is FAIRLY neutral, at least compared to Fox or MSNBC. Certainly they have their right leaning "entertainment news" hosts, but overall they're not too awful about it.

They certainly don't mind just towing the line though. They don't go out of their way to report on anything but the popular opinion on the stories.

You really can't trust any MSM outlet though.

EDIT: Oh yeah, but Dobbs is pretty terrible and VERY right leaning.

14. Welcome to DU - I thought like you did that CNN wasn't really as bad as FOX but Dobbs is awful!
I don't know who is paying him to say the things he is but ever since President Obama has been in office it is like he is attacking him all the time! Like President Obama has said in the past "ENOUGH!"!

13. Dobbs: "One of those liberals advancing liberal fascism is none other than Dr. Howard Dean..!"
Liberal fascism, Lou? I would ask you what that means exactly if I wasn't already sure that you're certifiably delusional if you believe a word of what you're saying.

17. CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein asked his show producers to avoid booking talk radio hosts
He should start with Dobbs!!!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/11/cnn-bans-talk-radio-hosts_n_256862.html

TVNewser:

TVNewser has learned, and a CNN spokesperson confirms, that in his morning editorial meeting today, CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein asked his show producers to avoid booking talk radio hosts. "Complex issues require world class reporting," Klein is quoted as saying, adding that talk radio hosts too often add to the noise, and that what they say is "all too predictable."
