2. well maybe Jesus is not allowing his power to be used to change homosexuals |
|
which would be one explanation for why it doesn't seem to work.

Those who can actually choose between same-sex and opposite-sex attractions. Of course, it means suppressing a good part their natural desires...

16. No, it doesn't work in any sense. It's just more difficult to tell that it fails epically. |

I saw the documentary about him on HBO and felt pretty bad for the conundrum he's in.

Much the same way my ex-husband's story is unfortunate. He didn't live life as he should have (gay) and instead conformed to societal pressure and lived a lie. A lot of people got hurt.

They talk more sexual about Jesus than most people talk about their lovers.

14. The original founders of Exodus did exactly that. |
|
Well, I don't know about the "Jesus figurines" part, but the two allegedly "ex" gay founders had to resign from the ministry when they fell in love......with each other.

Jesus sent his disciples out in couples, then?
"And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits." (Mark 6:7)

21. You see its just this failure in logic that just makes you wonder what they are thinking |
|
1) The power of Jesus Christ = giving people the freedom from homosexuality
2) Homosexuality = is clearly gaining widespread acceptance and is on its way to become accepted in all parts of society (I mean even Cheney accepts it)
therefore the only conclusion you could have is
3) The power of Jesus Christ = is in serious decline.
They not only argue against their economic interests, they argue against their own religious ones as well.

22. Just a thought, but what if Jesus was gay? |
|
It's possible, isn't it? I mean, always hanging out with all those guys.
Maybe that's why praying for Jesus to "cure" homosexuality doesn't work...because Jesus doesn't see anything wrong with homosexuality.
Boy, wouldn't that make the Jesusfreakazoidss rip their hair out... :7
For that matter, maybe God is gay too!
I'm gonna start a rumor...

28. Did Jesus "cure the gay" in the New Testament? |
|
No. I didn't think so. The thing about Jesus is that he apparently never married, which was unusual in his day. He hung around with a lot of men and that's who he chose for disciples. I'm not saying Jesus was gay, but there's no evidence of enthusiastic heterosexuality, so he isn't the guy I'd expect to provide the cure.
