1. I felt like the country was being dismantled piece by piece between 2000 & 2008... |
|
I don't know if it has to be racism on her part.

|
like the way the blacks have been treated since they were forced onto ships and sold as property.... and made to sit in the back of the bus... and treated as less than....

9. I'm sure retribution is what a lot of racists are afraid of right now... |
|
...but not all of the screamers are racists ~ some are just naive, uninformed people who are easy pawns for big business and the Republican party.

11. i did not mean to say that all of them were that way.... but i bet a lot of them are. |
|
some are just uninformed and get all their info from faux news and limbaugh. there probably are people who think that the government is going to kill grandma.... because faux news said so.... and they believe that somehow they are going to get screwed in all of this, because generally we do get screwed quite often. ANd i admit that i worry the we will get screwed as well, but my fear is regarding the fact that the insurance companies seem to have their grubby paws all over everything and i worry we will end up with a mandate and no reform.... and if people think things are bad now, wait til we HAVE to buy what they are selling and they can still charge whatever they want!! but in that way, my fear is regarding corporate influence.... if we could get at the very least a decent public option then the insurance companies would be forced to lower their costs to compete. I know they can.... considering the amount of their profits.... and how much they seem to have to contribute to our representatives... they have room to cut back. and they will... when they HAVE TO. too bad that our friends with the loud mouths and nasty signs don't seem to realize that. i wonder if they ever wonder, considering how much the cost of insurance has gone up over the past few years.... i wonder if they think about the chance they may not be able to afford insurance in the near future should we not get any reforms??? i wish they would... because we are all in jeopardy of that if things don't change....

5. She couldn't get interested in the war because we've always been at war. |
|
(to paraphrase).
Good grief, she's a moron.

8. Well, it could just be that she sees a Dem or a liberal in charge... |
|
...and she's responding to fearful talking heads and people like Palin.
What all these screamers seem to have in common is FEAR ~ that doesn't mean they're all racists.

12. exactly.... when you see an angry person, underneath that anger is fear. |
|
Like when my daughter walked off in the store and i couldn't find her.... I felt a gripping fear that manifested itself in anger... when i finally found her in the bathroom, i felt a strong desire to shake her i was so mad!!! i was in tears i was so mad!!! but i knew it was because i was afraid....

4. I also think that was obvious. |

This existential uneasiness they are feeling. . . that's what it is. And the woman may have suddenly developed an interest in politics, but not enough to actually inform herself.
