Was End of life provision & Death panels a setup?
Republicans wanted the "End of Life" coverage for a
type of living will covered. Then they spread all this
misinformation that it is a "Death Panel". Their
provision! Now Grassley (R) says their going to remove it.
Someone in the media needs to investigate if this was a setup.
Don't tell me the bipartisan crap is just to stick in
legislation to argue against Health Care. Don't you all think
we should ask the MSM to investigate?

Your thoughts everyone. Thanks! :)

8. MSM value politics. They watch each side to see who does the
best political moves. In other words which side is prepared
to fight for what they believe AND WILLING TO FIGHT FOR LEGISLATION.

I fear we are headed the way of Immigration Reform. People underestimated
the tenacity and ferociousness of Conservatives and Immigration Reform
died.

Could it be the Administration and Democrats on the Hill were unprepared for the extent to which Conservatives will go to stop Health Care Reform.

4. My opinion
for what it's worth, is that it does seem a bit off for a Republican to ask for funding for something that has been done all along by doctors as part of their ongong patient care. Why throw in a provision to pay them? It does seem to point to an attempt to draw attention to this one part of the bill. IF we are trying to cut costs, why add a provision for doctors to charge for something they already do as a matter of course?

The whole thing seems strange especially when Republicans are supposed to be about cutting costs rather than creating them.

Isakson's little bon mot for "end of life counseling" had to be deliberate

NOTHING IN POLITICS HAPPENS BY ACCIDENT.

I'd bet money that he pushed "really hard" to get this introduced/included, and of course his democratic "friends" probably thought.."Boy howdy, Ole Johnny's comin' around to our way of thinking..he's almost making sense".

No sooner than the ink was dry, Ole Johnny probably started phoning his pals to let them know about the "death panel" angle they could use. He probably did not expect to be NAMED as a co-sponsor of the idea, though.

Now that he's been outed, he's denying it..like any republican who has been found out.

7. I don't see how, since it only PAID THE DOCTOR
for having the discussion, didn't mandate the discussion, and certainly didn't dictate a single thing to patients about what their end of life decisions might be.

This whole flap is nothing but a pack of right wing lies. It's pure bullshit.

'someone in the media needs to investigate'....the media created this shit by giving the morons 24/7 coverage...just like they did in the runup to war and the swift boat liars

10. It has the typical set up stink, stank, stunk to it but it seems maybe
that Isakson was acting in some good faith.
