Why is big business not strongly in favor of single payer?
It seems to me like under a single-payer plan, businesses could stop paying for employee health care, save about 10K a year per employee, and either cut their prices, boost employee salaries, pocket the difference, or all three.

What's their objection?

3. Watch SICKO all the way to the end.
American workers are saddled with debt before they start (student loans) then threatened with withdrawal of healthcare if they lose their job.

Therefore they are very docile.

4. how many people are stuck at their suck ass job because they need the healthcare?
and how many of those people have great ideas about starting their own business or other venture?

If corporations dont own us, we'll leave them when we realize that we dont need them.

7. Big businesses are self insured and hire plan administrators.
That means they get the profits from the insurance they provide. What hurts them is older workers and retirees who cost them more and cut into profits. Medicare limits their payouts without cutting into profits from young healthy workers.

Small business competition is removed because they can't self insure.

9. Because citizens of a country really like public health care. In canada
health care is always listed as the top favourite government program. When you think of it you think of being part of a larger group of people all being taken care of for the little extra we pay in sales tax on the crap we all buy.

It is that notion of "being part of a larger group" that the GOP and thus big business in the USA hates. They have fought long and hard to try and stop people from feeling empathy why would they ever want American citizen to sigh up for something that is actually a great big group hug?
