This is the woman of "Ukraine's Got Talent". She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and "sand painting" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.

Every once in a while I become awestruck by a display of talent. Today is one such day.

but it seemed people in the audience recognized certain scenes or landmarks or icons. As if they just knew what she was doing without imagery familiar to people outside of their history.

That young lady has an undeniable talent, but without the ability to understand and empathize with prior generations it's nothing more than pretty pictures. With it, she truly realizes what her art can be. Amazing stuff, really unbelievable. Thank you hippychick.
