She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and "sand painting" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII. Every once in a while I become awestruck by a display of talent. Today is one such day.

The sheer emotion displayed...and the beauty and sadness. You know good art when you see it, but you know GREAT art when you feel it.

it is wonderful to see something like that be on television. High quality and depth of feeling. Artistic. Not how you'd describe American reality TV.

18. I don't know the history well enough to know- |

but it seemed people in the audience recognized certain scenes or landmarks or icons. As if they just knew what she was doing without imagery familiar to people outside of their history.
Very moving.

After seeing her, I'm thinking not.

That young lady has an undeniable talent, but without the ability to understand and empathize with prior generations it's nothing more than pretty pictures. With it, she truly realizes what her art can be. Amazing stuff, really unbelievable. Thank you hippychick.
