Doctors say: "THIS FALL RUBBER GLOVES MEET THE ROAD::::: http://www.madashelldoctors.com/

There’s no nice way to say it. The financial cost of health care is killing our citizens, hobbling our economy, crushing small business, and threatening the solvency of our government.

In the meantime, the Health Care Industry is spending almost two million dollars a day lobbying Congress and manipulating public opinion to accept “reform” legislation that leaves a vicious, for-profit system intact.

The “public option” is a trap. We need real reform that finds immediate savings, controls costs, and accomplishes the moral imperative of true Universal Access.

A Single Payer plan is the only real path to a Health Care System that is socially, ethically and fiscally responsible. And yet, our elected officials refuse to even discuss the possibility of a Single Payer plan!

If that doesn’t make you mad, we recommend checking your pulse!"

5. SINGLE PAYER NOW! Yes we can.
The Obama approach to reform (don't you dare call it Obamacare!) is bad politics and bad policy because its first priority is to ensure the the fox (the private health insurance industry) remains firmly ensconced in the hen house.

THE PROBLEM WITH OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

Skyrocketing costs make health insurance unavailable to tens of millions of Americans. Others learn when they become ill that “affordable” insurance policies leave one vulnerable to medical bankruptcy when crushing deductibles and copayments come due.

MEDICARE FOR ALL, aka "Single Payer" (HR 676) covers everyone with high-quality comprehensive coverage. It replaces inflated premiums, and unpredictable and devastating out-of-pocket medical expenses with steady, predictable and affordable progressive taxes.

IT IS TIME for America to get the health care we pay for but do not receive!

America spends twice as much as Canada does on healthcare per capita. But we have 40 million uninsured, millions more under insured, countless medical bankruptcies, and we lag behind most industrialized nations in life expectancy, infant mortality, and other health care indicators.

By eliminating private insurers we can realize massive cost savings -- hundreds of billions every year - enough to provide everyone with high quality comprehensive coverage with zero out of pocket expenses. This means you do not see a bill for any basic medical service, ever!

SIX REASONS TO MOVE TO A MEDICARE FOR ALL SYSTEM

Choice. Most private insurance restricts your choice of providers and hospitals. Under the U.S. National Health Insurance Act (HR 676), patients have a choice, and the provider is assured a fair payment.

No Interference with Care. Caregivers and patients regain their autonomy to decide what’s best for a patient’s health, not what’s dictated by the billing department. No denial of coverage for preexisting conditions or cancellation of policies for “unreported” minor health problems.

Portability. If you are unemployed, or lose or change jobs, your health coverage stays with you.

Uniform Benefits. No Cadillac plans for the wealthy and Pinto plans for everyone else, with high deductibles, limited services, caps on payments for care, and no protection in the event of a catastrophe. One level of comprehensive care for everyone, regardless of the size of your wallet.
Everybody In, Nobody Out. Universal means access to health care for everyone residing in the U.S., period.

Public Oversight. The public sets the policies and administers the system, not high priced CEOs meeting in private.

WHO IS STOPPING US FROM ENACTING MEDICARE FOR ALL?

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURERS - Corporate for-profit insurance companies make obscene profits by denying needed medical care. The insurers have spent hundreds of millions corrupting the political system to keep our broken system unchanged so that the insurers can continue to service their insatiable greed. Under Single Payer private insurers are eliminated.

DRUG PROFITEERS - Nearly every other country in the world negotiates with drug companies to reduce the cost of medications. Under Single Payer drug companies will no longer be free to price-gouge American patients for needed medications.

POLITICIANS - Polls show huge public support for a national single payer system that covers everyone. However, our elected officials refuse to even talk about single payer while they instead work to protect the insurance and pharmaceutical industries that contribute millions to their campaigns. Call your elected officials today and tell them to fight for a national single payer system- the only reform that can sustainably solve our health care crisis.
