Pro health care distortions

The right wing has shown us that distortion works. They have the cynicism and dishonesty needed to push distortions, i.e., their lies about death panels, horrors of socialized medicine, and the gov choosing your doctors for you -- so why don't we push distortions too? These are some that are based on truth, but put a really rosy a spin on the facts.

With national health care:

- You'll live longer. (Based on the fact that both the French and Japanese live longer.)
- Your health care costs will actually drop and you'll have more money in your pocket. It will be like a tax cut. (Based on the fact that national health care plans have a per capita cost that's half of what we pay.)
- The federal deficit will decline. (Based on the fact that the pharmaceuticals have agreed to spend $80 billion to help defray the cost of national health care.)
- You'll be able to sign up for affordable Medicare coverage regardless of your age. (Based on the fact that the public option will be available to everyone.)
- Diseases like cancer and diabetes might be cured in your lifetime. (Based on the fact that access to info for research purposes will be streamlined by standardizing record-keeping systems.)
- It puts the power in your hands, rather than in the hands of an insurance company's death panel.
- It will revitalize one of the great American industries, the insurance industry. (Based on the idea that they'll be screwed if they don't do something.)
