Tea baggers protest on Sept 12 in DC
This is from a conservative alerts email. Anyone know if those of us for a public option are planning anything? I'm a bit confused by their map of people. Does each push pin represent one person? If so, some states only have 1 or 2 people attending and the handful of people from the east coast overwhelm the picture of that state because the territory is so small. This isn't a whole lot of people who plan to make a stand for the status quo.

*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

On Saturday, September 12th, 2009, thousands upon thousands upon thousands of grassroots patriotic Americans will be descending upon Washington, D.C. for the largest "tea party" in history -- the 09.12.09 March on Washington.

And we want to see YOU there, too!

This is not a "flash in the pan." We're going to be doing more than just marching on Saturday. Here's the agenda:

Thursday, 9/10 -- Liberty Summit, Press Conference, Congressional Lobbying, Doctors' Rally
Friday, 9/11 -- Never Forget Memorial, Leadership Institute Activist Workshops, Lobbying Training Seminars, Congressional Lobbying
Saturday, 9/12 -- March on the Capitol, Protest Rally at the Capitol
If you can be there for all three days -- GREAT! But if you can only come for one day... make it Saturday, September 12th!

It's time to take the tea party movement directly to Washington, D.C. Please join thousands of local organizers and grassroots Americans from across the country as we gather in our nation's capital to deliver a message to the politicians: Enough!

We've had enough of the out of control spending, the bailouts, the growth of big government and the soaring deficits. And we reject the future tax increases to pay for all of this spending and debt down the road. We are gathering on 9-12-2009 to deliver our message in person: WE'VE HAD ENOUGH!

RightMarch.com is an official co-sponsor of the March and Rally, along with other grassroots activist organizations like Freedom Works, Tea Party Patriots, Campaign for Liberty, Club for Growth, Young Americans for Liberty, Americans for Tax Reform, Free Republic, Leadership Institute, and many many more!

The March, the Rally, and most of the events of that week, are absolutely free. If you go to the 9-12 website, you can find buses and caravans of people from your area who are going -- won't you join your neighbors in Washington?

Register for FREE right away:
www.912dc.org/event-registration

Let's "take the Tea Parties to Washington" -- register for FREE today for the 09.12.09 March on Washington!

Sincerely,

William Greene, President
RightMarch.com

P.S. Take a look at the map of people who have already registered to come to DC for the 9-12 March. That's an OLD MAP from July 26th -- when we already had over 14,000 registrations for the protest!

This is going to be a HUGE event -- and a PERFECT way to say to these politicians, "We've HAD enough, and we're NOT going to take it anymore!" SELECT HERE to register right away for the 09.12.09 March on Washington. Thank you!

3. They try to make it look like they are bigger than they are
seriously, how many thumb tacks in Texas? A hundred? This is a weak and lame group. This is the definition of fringe. This nonsense from the media that these are average Americans and that there is a lot of anger out there has to stop. How is it possible for a small fringe minority to drown out and disrupt the majority? They are small but they are well funded and well organized as most astro turf is.

7. Between Glenn Beck's 9/12 project, and these teabagger protests, I truly fear for that day.
I don't like the way 9/12 is being set up by the Cheney loyalists.

2. Each pin represents a pinhead
And how disgusting that they are taking advantage of 9/11 for their agenda.

10. LOL. there's maybe 75 people from the great state of Illinois
I think 75 pinheads in the state are manageable.

4. Wow. No teabaggers in my old part of Iowa....
see, I always said they were decent people, in spite of their strange tendency to vote "R" (while complaining about how the religious right had taken over their party).

14. The density of "push pins" appears to correspond exactly to the nation's population density
-nothing surprising here; if the map showed the number of people who own cats, it would be much the same.

13. Note: As of September 12th, Obama will (probably) have kept us safe longer than W.
"Probably", meaning: barring an unlikely terrorist attack originating outside the USA; RWing domestic violence doesn't count (as far as the M$M is concerned).

20. Prediction - EVERY cable news network will be there with hours of coverage.
Whereas the protests we participate in that dwarf this joke movement in numbers - nary a peep.

Surely there's going to be something from some group (UFPJ?) countering this crap, is there? I should go down and laugh at them. Or ask them:

1. What's a Socialist?
2. Define Communism without slurs and insults.
3. Define the difference between totalitarian rule and Democratic Socialism.
4. Name all workers rights issues Republican congresspersons, Senators or Presidents have supported in 28 years.
5. Define ACORN and it's purpose.
6. What is the current National Debt amount? Also, name the three presidents responsible for 70% of the current National Debt.
7. Provide the exact average monthly job creation numbers for the period 1999-2009. You know, when your fave-rave, rich tax-cuttin' Republicans were in charge of all branches.
8. True or False: Becoming an entirely self-made millionaire, without any help from anything governmental or public and entirely through legal channels, is absolutely possible.
9. True or False: The nations we're currently involved in military action with were responsible for the September 11 attacks.
10. True or False: The Founding Fathers were deists.

Guarantee that I won't get a correct answer out of ANY of 'em on ANY questions, even out of the supposedly Mensan Right-leaning Libertarians (i.e. right wingnutters who refuse to admit they are).
