To Democratic politicians: There is nothing you can do to EVER gain their votes

Nothing.

That includes you blue dogs like Ben Nelson.

No matter what concessions you make, no matter what positions you hold... the simple fact that you have a "D" next to your name means that the angry imbeciles that you are facing at these town halls will never ever ever ever ever ever ever vote for you.


But there are things you can do to guarantee that those who DID vote for you may not do so again.

One of those things is that you could kill Health Care reform. That would do it.


If you want to stay in office... you need to do what the people who elected you want you to do. Reform health care.


Each member of the angry mobs, no matter how much they yell, still only has one vote.


This is where I have to hand it to Specter. He realizes this. He's letting the angry hordes have their yell-and-scream sessions.

And in the end, I don't think it will change his vote one iota. He wants to win the Democratic constituency in PA. The angry hordes at his town halls are the ones who were going to vote for Toomey anyway. They're the ones that forced him to switch parties.


So.... my advice to Democratic office-holders across the nation: Let the hordes have their screaming sessions throughout August. Then come back to D.C. in September and pass Health Care reform anyway. It won't cost you any more votes from the angry Beckonistas than you would've lost anyway. They might press a little harder with the pencil or push the touch-screen with more gusto, but their vote against you still only counts as one vote.

are giving in to advance care consultations...as if that will make these crazy protesters happy.....nothing will!
