Message Board Disruptions, You Having Problems Too?

I post regularly on another message board, MYWay, and lately a guy has been using some kind of code to post thousands of links. The end result is, it drives all of the posts, all of the debate right off the board. Debate us usually fleeting anyway, but they once stayed up for an hour or two, before they left the first page, and generally the discussion.

I figure it is a right-winger, as most people on the left are perfectly capable of discussion, and want discussion of the issues. Add to that, it is exactly what the town hall protestors are doing, and it disrupts the discussion of issues in the same way, I can't help but wonder if it isn't part of the whole disruption strategy, and I wanted to ask,

Are others having this problem on other boards they post? I know you guys probably post on others, and I was just wondering if this or some other type of disruptive behavior is happening on other sites.

MyWay doesn't seem to be too concerned with doing anything, but clearly it totally disrupts the discussion, when all of the issues are driven off the board with an obscene string. They either don't understand, or don't care, but I do like getting on other boards, since discussion amongst ourselves has its worth, but clearly we need to get out to other boards, and spread the word a bit, since so much disinformation is out there.

So, anyone else having problems at other message boards?

I totally agree,
Man, you think just like me, way to go.

I mean, how much good are we doing here? You know when I like to come here? I like to show up during the primaries. Then there is some hot postin' goin' on. And, perhaps we are all contributing to each other's knowledge of events, of things, by pushing our own candidates.

I know, we do disaree on stuff, like Vick for instance, probably guns, and their regulation, and a few other things. And I like to check in here for the video's, especially Maher, which has been posted less and less, at least the whole show. It seems the only thing people want to post for the most part is New Rules, entertaining yes, but I like the discussion too. Add to that, HBO has gotten really good at getting them to remove it, like anyone is going to subscribe for just that one show. Anyhoo, that's my view on things, and mostly I'm just trying to fish out how much disruption is going on on the old "Internets." If it is happening, we should try to get it to the mainstream media.

7. I guess the other boards don't have our Secret Weapon: GROVELBOT

Many here think that Grovelbot is just chillin' when there aren't Donation Drives.

But in reality, with the exception of a few long weekends and two weeks in July, Grovelbot is monitoring the site and Tombstoning such disruptors while performing ongoing system checks, destroying all corrupt and malicious code.

9. Yeah, the boards on our newspaper

have pretty much been hijacked, and most of the comments tend to the extreme right and/or downright nasty. I just posted this:
