Poll question: Who Is The Worst To Debate? |
|
Not to make it complicated, use your own definition for each.

In my experience, they're afraid of debate.

5. You are right. They are on the losing side of a debate. |
|
It is too easy to shut them down. They have to keep their head in the clouds or up Ayn Rand's ass to defend their positions.

6. My worst experiences ... |
|
were with neocons. The talking point is everything, all questions are ignored, all responses made are repetition of the talking points and that is it. They call anyone who disagrees with them terrible names, which is to be expected, but bend an eyelash the wrong way and they are all over the place demanding an apology for something you never even said.
They operate and feed on mob rule and conformity and spew out hatred of anyone who is different. I needed Gumby brain surgery after that.:argh:

9. I voted other for the people who support neo-cons but are too stupid to know what a neo-con is |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-14-09 08:12 PM by Bjorn Against
They are the FOX News watching rednecks who come up to me on the streets and start screaming at me about how much I hate America. They love the neo-cons but I can't actually call them neo-cons because they have absolutely no understanding of what positions the people they support hold, they simply know that Obama is a socialist Muslim who was born in Kenya and hates white people. They are the ignorant blowhards who think they understand politics because they can repeat what Sarah Palin tells them but in reality they have no clue what they stand for. If the Republican Party were to suddenly do a complete 180 and started supporting socialism they would change their positions right along with the party, they don't care about the issues they are simply blind followers who believe everything that Rush tells them is right and everyone who goes against Rush is wrong. They are not neo-cons they are idiots.

But you don't debate people. You don't debate ideas, topics.
We spend to much time debating people and not points.

13. It's what debating is. |
|
Never try to debate a person. The person does not exist. Only the argument exists.

15. I'd never vote for a Libertarian, but I'd like to see their candidate in a debate |
|
Considering their views on issues on drug policy and foreign interventions are to the left of corporate "Democrats", there participation in the process might help our party get back to where we should be on these issues.
