Fuck the fucking Media Lies. My PBS hdtv just came online with NOW & Bill Moyers, so I sent them
$140.00.

NO, I'm not rich, but I believe in walking the walk, so I quit cable TV - those purveyors of fucking

LIES and FUCKING TRASH

- and I am going to give at least some of the nearly $100.00 a month I was paying for fucking LIES and TRASH to PBS. Had a little trouble picking it up at first, but our metro PBS delivered this weekend and came online with an hdtv signal strong enough for me to receive, so I'm more than happy to pony up for

the TRUTH!

1. I don't understand any of this -
something happened, but I don't know what it is.

So you didn't see Lawrence O'Donnell's handling of Rep. Culberson from Texas on "Hardball" earlier today?

Find the youtube. It's brilliant, and the word "lies" is quite relevant...........................

9. MSNBC is a Democratic party fanclub ... and it doesn't help
further the national conversation.

It does, however, given the Democrats an answer to Fox News. But I don't think that's something to be proud of.

14. Talk to a conservative
They have the same reaction to MSNBC as liberals have to Fox.

11. No, I mean, I didn't understand the OP -
what service was hooked up, what wasn't working, what was going on?

Ah, it's not worth my time.

You just compared MSNBC to Fox? And you really think there's such a thing as a "national conversation"? There isn't.

But that comparison is really funny..........................

4. I quit cable TV a several weeks ago thinking I'd get PBS, so I've been in an agony of information
withdrawal. Called PBS yesterday and the lady explained their situation to me, so I just rescanned the channels (AGAIN!) and finally picked it up.

I was reading up on this meanwhile; some folk say that almost any exterior antenna will help you out, somebody here put me on to a website that calculates what you need, but even just an old antenna will do it. It's getting it mounted right that's kind of a problem.

I'll go look for that link for you.

5. I've set up HDTV in friends' houses, but my apt. is surrounded by trees, so I don't get
a strong enough signal to tune the antenna.

Sucks. I shouldn't have to pay for cable to get TV.

6. Bill Moyers' program tonight (8/14) is worth every penny I can muster to contribute.
Real news is so damned rare we have to demand and support it.

8. I do occasionally watch PBS
But everytime I switch to MPT or WETA during prime time they have some latest spiritual or financial guru or the latest stale britcom or doo wop special.

I do support public television, but PBS 80% of the time in my area just sucks.
