freepers and other conservative/fundies ticked off about CBS' Jericho
Too funny. As the episode tonight revealed, it turns out that that terrorists who exploded nuclear weapons in the country are home grown malitia and radical religious groups (as in fundie christians) and the ring leader is in the government in the homeland security department. There heads are exploding. Spewing hollywood liberals, et al.

Just for a laugh....

2. I love the show...because it really hits at the heart of the issue
of the Timothy McVeighs in this country...

They don't like looking at themselves in the mirror....

Probably the only network show I have regularly watched for years. Production value is not very good, not Emmy material by any means. What hooks me is the what-if? As someone who believes there are any number of 'Threads' in our modern industrial society that could unravel the whole thing overnight, even though the story is somewhat contrived, it provides food for thought for someone like me.

Like how to harness the power of community. How to manage the commons.

3. The same crew that salivates at 24 and wonders why
Muslims get upset when they are portrayed as terrorists no doubt.

4. I quit watching it awhile ago.
Not very good subject matter for a household w/ a young child living near an air base!

Maybe I need to catch up online.

7. "Homegrown" was part of the plot for Season 5 of 24 last year, and the
president and some of his henchmen in government were part of it. Same thing for this year -- a neocon VP and some neocon aides. I was sure they were going to lose 75% of their viewership over it, but by throwing in US govt corruption, the ratings are even better, I bet.

Good for Jericho and CBS for stunning the viewership with this plot twist.

9. I'm gonna have to start watching that show!
It's one of the shows that I chose not to keep up with. Shows about the end of the world and nukes going off tend to give me nightmares. Probably because I watched "The Day After" when I was an impressionable kid.
