The Capitalist Beast that Ate the World.

This is my way of explaining my world…because for the life of me I cannot figure why no matter what we try we can never quite extract ourselves from the chains of greed and violence.
And so in my world view it fits perfectly a prophesy that was made thousands of years ago by a man totally ignorant of our modern system of government and economy…Daniel had a vision and recorded it some how, and is part of the bible…the OT. He gives this vision in chapter 7.

But this is not about religon at all and I care less whether this is true or not or a complete fabrication….makes no difference because this is about a way to look at our world today…and explain it.

So Daniel has this vision of 4 beasts but has no clue as to what it means, and goes up to one standing there and asks him what it means… and he says;

17 ”These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth…
19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;

23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

The capitalist beast system is the best explanation of what we have now in our world.
We have created a system where consumption is ever increasing…and in order for things to continue and not collapse we must continue to grow that consumption. We have created a ravenous beast that must just by doing the math consume the resources of the whole world. And this beast has conquered the whole world in our lifetime.
And we have indeed tread down the whole earth in our pursuit of ever increasing profits and consumption. And did it with teeth of iron and nails of brass.

So perhaps Daniel got it right….Now the question is what happens next?….Well according to Daniel we win, and this beast will be destroyed and the good guys will save the earth.
