Omaha (KPTM)- Health care reform is still a hot topic all across the nation.
A bus is traveling the country trying to get the word out about the need for reform. Today people in Omaha had a chance to have their voices heard.
A little rain didn't dampen the spirits of the nearly 50 people who showed up at memorial park to voice their opinion of the current health care system.
"Right now the problem I'm seeing is that the cost of health insurance is going up at 3 times the cost of anybody's wage increases, if that keeps up we're going to be in a world of hurt," says John Kretzschmar of Omaha.
The Highway to Healthcare Reform Tour was put on by the American federation of state, county and municipal employees.
"The highway 2 health care reform tour is a rock and roll themed tour, we are going from Montana down to Louisiana and up to Maine. We are talking to Americans about what's in this health care reform legislation for them," says Blaine Rummel with the Reform Tour.
That legislation is still up in the air, but lowering its cost is something everyone can get behind.
