A little more help please
I'm still carrying on an argument on another site with several neocons about health care.. Could someone please direct me to information debunking the following claim?

"If the insurance policy is changed in any way the holder will revert to the government plan."

Thanks

IMSA

1. no, if their policy does NOT change the insurance company can still THROW THEIR ASSES
OUT IF THEY GET SICK..there is NO GOVERNMENT PLAN!!! there are new restrictions on Private Plans,...they cannot refuse one because of prexisting conditions and cannot throw you off when you get sick..REPEAT: THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT PLAN!!!

2. Are you familiatr with...

I think they are talking about language that is intended to make it illegal for insurers to "bait and switch". The insurer is not allowed to change the terms of the coverage after you have signed up.

Challenge them to tell you where it has that language.

3. From this paragraph

(2) LIMITATION ON CHANGES IN TERMS OR CONDITIONS- Subject to paragraph (3) and except as required by law, the issuer does not change any of its terms or conditions, including benefits and cost-sharing, from those in effect as of the day before the first day of Y1.

"If you change anything, you revert to the goverment plan."

5. The paragraph says nothing about "revert to the government plan"
It just forbids issuers (insurers) from changing the terms of the original agreement.
Period.
