How about enacting both a public option and a health care cooperative? |
|
Why are we limiting the choices that are being considered. Enact a series of options and let health care consumers decide.

1. Furthermore, how about lowering the age |
|
for Medicare to maybe 45 or 50?
Have a true hybrid system - private, public, co-op, single payer and let people decide what they want.

2. They oppose any reform that actually works. Period. |
|
Because that will cut into insurance profits. They think a public option is a threat, therefore they will not allow it under any circumstance.
The very fact that they support these coops is enough evidence for me that they will not work. Big insurance would not back that proposal unless they thought they could game it to keep their profits up.
