Civil suits are completely on the table according to one Duke player's attorney

I was watching Hannity and Colmes (sorry) and one of the attorneys for the accused stated that they were looking at all options available for possible civil action.

Civil suits against Nifong, Durham, NC State and Duke University were all open to consideration.

Personally, I hope the three sue all the bastards that made their lives a living hell this past year and are able to recoup all the money spent on having to defend themselvs against this farce.

2. Minnesota Incident

Three black students were arrested for an alleged rape but police decided not to press charges:

The players have asked "how do we get our reputation back?" but no one has answered as of yet.

It's amazing how white victims of this type of injustice get much publicity and sympathy but black victims do not.

3. I'm not quite sure what the difference is

The black athletes can just as easily file civil suits against their accusers.

Besides, based on the good number of people on these threads who seem determined to believe the Duke players did it, I don't know that the players are ever going to completely get their reputations back either.

4. Injustice ...

... to one is injustice to all.

Unfortunately, blacks are victimized by this type of injustice FAR more often than anyone else. But society does not see fit to properly reward them for their injuries or to take steps to avoid them.
