The GOP opened Pandora's Box unleashing paranoia & rage. It won't go away if they drop healthcare |
|
They will just do it again on the next thing the Dems or Obama tries to do anything that benefits anyone but the wealthy and corporations. Trying to placate with concessions just emboldens them and proves that this strategy continues to work. Any politician thinking giving in will put the crazy back in the box will be in for a rude awakening & still in need of a police escort at the next town hall meeting thanks to groups like FreedomWorks smarmy Armey. I hope they are smart enough to realize this.

3. That was the plan. Healthcare now, taxes, regulation and re-regulation later. |
|
Wall St., Energy Corps, Banks, etc... they're all funding the fight against health care with the intent of using these same fools later for their own purposes. However, they seriously misjudged the depth of Teh Crazy and even the (R) Congresscritters are shitting their pants.
Still haven't decided if this is good or bad.

6. to paraphrase James Carville . . . "It's the racism, stupid" . . . |
|
there is a certain portion of the populace that simply cannot reconcile their bigotry and prejudice with having a black man in the White House . . . the signs comparing Obama to Hitler demonstrate just how batshit crazy his election has made them, and they will stop at nothing to ensure that his tenure is one term -- if that . . .
what's shocking is just how many out and out racists there actually are, considering that for every one who exposes him/herself publically, there are very likely hundreds or thousands more who stay at home and quietly stew in their bigotry . . . the healthcare debate is simply a target of convenience -- if it wasn't healthcare, it would be something else, anything else . . . they will oppose Obama at every opportunity, believing to the depth of their souls that his skin color, nappy hair, background, and name all make him somehow inferior to themselves and to all whites -- and therefore unqualified to lead the nation . . .
so you're absolutely correct . . . Pandora's Box has been opened, and there are little Nazis flying around all over the country . . . the good part is at least they're visible (some of them anyhow), so the rest of us who don't share their warped view of the world can see first-hand just how batshit they really are . . . and, hopefully, prevent them from doing something unthinkable . . .
