Saudi newspaper rips on Bush as petulant and praises Pelosi
If you wonder how the middle east views the spoiled brat in the White House and what they thought of the Nancy Pelosi visit to the area, read this article.
Many newpapers in the region hold the same view as this one.
overwhelmingly they see Pelosi as a breath of fresh air and think of her as the 3rd President and have alot of resentment of Jr.

3. Also, you won't find very many media outlets in Saudi Arabia that say things

that the royals don't like - not for very long, anyway...

5. interesting pics to go along...
with that article. I particularly like the one of the Saudi King wearing a suit jacket over his traditional clothes. I wonder if that was a subtle commentary and show of support for Pelosi over the flap with her covering her head while visitng that mosque in Syria.

It was also nice to see the men in Saudi Arabia treating her with respect. Her visit can only help the cause of Saudi women who want their own equality.

6. pissing off the Saudi royals tends to be... inconvenient
yes, i think that's the best way i can describe it. having lived there, and having a slight capacity to read into their style of diplomacy and politics of power, i think i can safely say it is... inconvenient... to be outside of the good graces of the house of Saud. unfortunately we now live in interesting times.
