Leahy accuses White House of lying

President Bush's aides are lying about White House e-mails sent on a Republican account that might have been lost, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy said Thursday, vowing to subpoena those documents if the administration fails to cough them up.

"They say they have not been preserved. I don't believe that!" Leahy shouted from the Senate floor.

"You can't erase e-mails, not today. They've gone through too many servers," said Leahy, D-Vt. "Those e-mails are there, they just don't want to produce them. We'll subpoena them if necessary."

The White House and the RNC don't back-up e-mail files? They can misuse the Patriot Act to access telephone and Internet records but can't find their own e-mails? Pardon me, I have to put a hat on before my head explodes.

6. Emails to and from WH should be on WH PCs

Unless they were erased from the WH PCs they should still be on the hard drives. The excuse that RNC erased everything every 30 days doesn't make sense, as far as whats on the WH computers. But, this crowd is so shrewd that they may have never downloaded the emails from the RNC servers.

How much will it take for this country to wake up and realize that democracy has been stolen by a bunch of big business cronies?
