Fucking insurance companies! I swear that they make |
|
"mistakes" on purpose and have figures hidden somewhere that tell them just how many people will fail to catch the mistake or figure it isn't worth arguing about. The latest here is a sudden, mid-policy year tripling of the annual deducible. I am furious, but I am sure they will apologize when we call them. Let's say, however, that a person has total bills all year of $260 or $270, how long is that person willing to be on hold, how many letters will they write to get the company to acknowledge that the deductible was $250.00 all along? How many stolen tens and twenties end up in the pockets of the insurance executives to gas up their yachts? There should be an automatic penalty enforced against these bastards when they make "honest mistakes" just to keep the motherfuckers honest.
I told my wife to tell BlueCross "if my doctor thinks I have a $750.00 deductible he will stop seeing me because he knows I don't have that kind of money AND I WILL FUCKING DIE!"

2. our state insurance commissioner |
|
several years ago held hearings across the state. She heard from consumers, patients, doctors and insurance company ex-employees. There are all kinds of thing that are done on purpose. One I recall was throwing away claims at the end of the day. They were able to start fresh the next day. They did not have to pay the claim until someone complained. Sometimes people had their claims end up in the waste basket more than once. Doctors testified how they had to hire extra full time staff just to take care of the mess that the insurance companies made.
Insurance companies have not earned the right to control health care in this country.
