I am so Mad! Just Heard Lieberman On CNN say:::
He said that we should go at health care in increments and leave out the public option and insuring everyone. He said that the finance committee agree on everything but a 4th. Well the 4th is a public option. He said the President will not look good if he passes this public option through. He would not vote for it. Kept saying the President would not look good...creep! He said people at the town halls are not there because of health care they are there because of the huge budget.

He is scum of the earth. He really said we should leave out for now covering everyone because we have a deficit.

I called his office and said on his voice mail (well his was full but the staff voice mail) I said I wonder why your voicemail is full yes I can imagine. Then I said what he said about leaving those without insurance out of health care was unbelievable. He had great health care why doesn't he give his to the people and go without. I said you are not with the Dem's or even an Ind. You are a Republican so why don't you officially put it by your name. To leave out the millions uninsured and think that is fine is disgusting.

I told him that I really hope that come election time that he loses. That he is disgusting. I said more but that is the basics.

4. I called Lieberman yesterday
Told him my late grandfather, who sat next to Lieberman in synagogue, would be ashamed of him leaving out the public option.

5. Joe needs to STFU and stop pretending that he
represents what is best for anyone but his rich sponsors. The media needs to stop taking him seriously. And the party needs to tell him to either act like a Democrat or get the hell out, and they need to take away all his perks he gets for caucusing with democrats, like keeping his seniority and all that comes with it.

6. Old slimy Joe knew that he would never win here in CT by calling himself a Rethug
He wanted the votes of independents and conservative Dems too. He really is disgusting. Many of us here in CT want to get rid of his ass come 2012.

11. Lieberman contributed to Gore's "loss" in 2000.
I know a lot of people who saw him on the ticket as meaning the Democrats were just as corrupt as, and in league with, the Republicans. This certainly backs up that thought process. What a freaking troll he is!

13. Let them all lose come election time--they are all sell-outs
If 70% of the people want real reform, then without real reform there should be no "health care" or "insurance" reform--let the Obama administration go down in flames. They sold us all out for eight pieces of gold. The backroom deals, the lack of any sense of what the American people want...and need, the pandering to the right while marginalizing the everyone else.

I had hope and I thought we could...but giving Obama the bully pulpit has not ended corporatism. We need a third party I fear, a party that will speak for the people. And this comes from a life-long, yellow dog, Democrat!

14. Lieberman opposes healthcare reform because his wife is a healthcare lobbyist. . .
Hadassah Lieberman works for APCO Associates, a lobbying firm that has many pharmaceutical and healthcare corporations among its clients, as well as four major drug companies such as Pfizer. In March 2005, Hadassah was hired by Hill & Knowlton (another healthcare lobbyist) as "senior counselor" in the firm's "health care and pharmaceuticals practice." Hadassah's close relationship with pharmaceutical and healthcare corporations while her husband introduced legislation benefiting these exact companies has raised questions about improprieties and conflict of interest. (Wikipedia -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hadassah_Lieberman --though there are substantially more sources for her and Joe's perfidy.)

It's always the same -- follow the money and you'll learn why healthcare reform (to say nothing of public option) is opposed so adamantly by those who "work with the public's interest at heart."

20. No, that was a "sly" way of indicating that I voted for Nader in 2000!
The point then was to send a STRONG message to the DLC, WITHOUT electing the "wrong" guy. That was a perfectly safe thing to do in a state like Washington. and in the end, it "worked" .... or it would have done so had not........... (fill in the blanks here).

We Naderites caught much hell here, by those who placed Party Loyalty above "narcissistic self-gratifying principles". But now? Are those same "pragmatists" now ready to jettison Obama, for (seeming to) "abandon core principles"? Hmmmm?

24. As I had said, that was a safe move in a state like Washington.
I (and everyone else I knew) was NOT hoping for Gore's defeat. And had he run as a DEMOCRAT, his margin of victory would have been TOO LARGE TO STEAL!

I'll also repeat this: "We Naderites caught much hell here, by those who placed Party Loyalty above "narcissistic self-gratifying principles". But now? Are those same "pragmatists" now ready to jettison Obama, for (seeming to) "abandon core principles"? Hmmmm"?

I was hoping to generate some comment on that. No, none at all?

21. I don't think he had much of a choice.
Gore's campaign was run purely by the DLC and Al Shrum. The DLC belief at the time was that Bill's infidelity is a liability, so they chose the most judgmental running mate to appease the Clenis haters, and I think Al was pressured to take Holy Joe. The DLC, along with Donna Brazille de-fanged Gore's campaign (Not calling bullshit on the Love Canal/Inventing the internet smears), and Lieberman got on the Sunday shows and contradicted everything the Gore said during the previous week. "Well, he really didn't mean that!"

Just one more reason to hate the DLC.

No exceptions, Joe. You can't beg, borrow, rent, steal, rely on the spouse's, or buy a health insurance policy. Okay, Joe? Okay? You get no fucking health insurance at all, Joe. Okay?
