Little or no family. In their 50s or 60s. Trouble relating to women. Compensating for lack of knowledge and emotional satisfaction with irrational hatred and possessing some weird form of patriotism despite having no children or children willing to deal with them to inherit the keys to the proverbial kingdom.

Pity them. Really. They're kind of sad specimens.
