Facebook can be a good place for finding out what some people think, especially people who are supposed to be on your side. Such is certainly the case the case today when I posted on my page the story that Sarah Palin's "friends" were celebrating the death of Sen Kennedy.
http://www.facebook.com/ext/share.php?sid=123384469225&h=JCrnz&u=kI26J&ref=mfI have Republican friends so it would have been no surprise if one of them posted the following comment:
"Hmm. So which one do I like? The Sara Palin right wingers celebrating the death of Sen Kennedy or the Left winger not wanting to take a break from their Single Payer ranting to pay respect or celebrate the life of some one who has spent his whole life in the Senate working for every single person in some way. Hmmm. Its a tie."
But guess what? It wasn't a Republican who made that remark, it was a "Democrat", and not just any "Democrat". It was made by this Congressional Staffer
http://www.facebook.com/ewpowell?ref=mf who, I believe works in the Stockton, CA field office of Dennis Cordoza.
I'm not wedded to single payer, but I think her boss would disagree with equating the haters on Palin's Facebook page with people who have been pushing long and hard to pass what Teddy has been pushing for over his entire career. If he doesn't, then I have to consider asking for my donations back.
