U.S. Citizens Association newspaper ad . . .
okay, I admit it . . . I sometimes read the New York Post -- but only for their sports section, which I enjoy . . . anyhow, I picked up yesterday's edition only to find a full-page ad by some outfit called the U.S. Citizens Association . . . the ads headline read . . .

Barack Obama and the Democrats did not inherit the bad economy; they caused it and made it worse . . .

you can see the entire had here . . .

http://www.uscitizensassociation.com/pdfs/USCA_Ad.pdf

now, never having heard of the U.S. Citizens Association, I did a little digging and came up with the following info . . .

first, here's their website . . .

http://www.uscitizensassociation.com/home.html

naturally, I was curious about who's behind this seemingly new organization, so I kept digging . . . what I found was an entry from one labwitchy on yesterday's Daily Kos, who also apparently saw the ad . . .

US Citizens Association - Liberal Socialists are Winning!
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/8/26/115137/952

and another entry by Benito who was also curious about the people behind this outfit . . .

Who is behind the US Citizens Association?
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/8/26/772906/-Who-is-behind-the-US-Citizens-Association

seems that the website is registered to one Una Lauricia in Cleveland, who's associated with an intellectual property law firm by the name of Pearne & Gordon LLP with roots dating back to 1910 . . . here's her info from their website . . .

http://www.pgmg.com/bios/lauricia.html

according to one of the comments on Benito's article, Ed Rollins of CNN also has some connection with this outfit, although I haven't found a direct link to that contention just yet . . .

that's about all I've had time to do thusfar . . . if anyone is interested in taking this a little farther and doing some deep digging, I have a hunch that there's a lot more here than may be immediately apparent . . .

oh, and keep an eye on your local paper . . . apparently this and other similar ads have been appearing all over the country . . . which means that someone with access to a lot of money is involved here . . .

2. remember, their logic says that Clinton signed all those evil bills (that he didn't put forth,
but Repugnicons did) ... so he's responsible for the repurcussions from them ...

but Bush signs bills, and it's all "Nancy and Harry's" fault ...
