Rats and Hogs Won't Even Eat GMO foods.
When a rat or a hog will reject eating GMO food, what does that tell you?

Boar's Head turkey and ham. sometimes he won't eat it -- makes me think it's about to go bad.

he loves the skin from the chicken from boston market, but will not go near the barbequed chicken from the grocery store.

Edited on Thu Aug-27-09 01:59 PM by closeupready
last weekend I went to a friend's house for dinner, and he asked me to pick up some barbecue sauce from the store - every brand used HFCS as a main sweetener, except one, which I bought (forget the brand name, sorry).

Bulls-Eye is the brand. :)

32. Cats don't taste sugar.
Nothing, zip

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=strange-but-true-cats-cannot-taste-sweets

The article seems to imply that they don't like it, but when it says they disdain sugar, they mean sugar, not sugar + something else. Think about it: If you're presented with something utterly insipid, you'll disdain it, too.

The closest the researchers admit is this: "Maybe some cats can use their to taste high concentrations of sugar," Brand says. "It's a very rare thing but we don't know yet."

It's a rare maybe.

when we bring them in from the garden. He hoards them in his special place (where he stores his goodies) and plays with them like they were toys. Odd. He will not eat them but he has to keep them away from the lab who will. Cats are so funny.

They aren't really a good gauge.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't be concerned about what you're eating. I just wouldn't go by the cat's reaction.

22. I was just telling a friend my cat will not touch beef.
She reacts to it the same way she does when I mix her antibiotic in with her food. She scatches at it trying to cover it like she does in the litter box. Whenever I mix the antibiotic with her food, I find her dish covered with the tablecloth uneaten. Makes me wonder if there is too much antibiotics in our beef supply and that is what she is smelling in the beef...

Since the content was produced by an anti-GMO activist who is trying to sell books. There's no evidence that anything in the videos is legitimate, and they were produced by highly biased individuals. It's not credible.

19. What scientist are you referring to, rucky?
Jeffrey M. Smith's biography at http://www.seedsofdeception.com/utility/showArticle/?objectID=15 describes him only as an "International best-selling author".

He's certainly an activist, and IMO an effective one, but I haven't seen any documentation of him having any formal training in science, or even a college degree.

27. Just out of curiosity.
Do you view anti-war "activists" the same way? As in having no credibility toward what they have to say against war since they're "highly biased"?

Are you highly biased against people trying to warn other people of health dangers? Or is it just you believe no one writes a book to warn people, books are only written for profit and nothing else?

Is the author of this book "highly biased" and therefore "not credible" because he wrote a book? Again just curious.

24. Anecdotal is one thing, to be certain you'd need to setup a controlled
test in the field able to guarantee that the samples are otherwise free of explainable markers that could produce such a result: time & date stamp, generalized size & shape, production chain, maybe samples placed inside and outside monitoring containment/atmospherics, etc, but GMO *is* a big fucking deal. And someone will always it seems, run up in here and try to convince many that it is not.

The clocks & switches inside these 'products' are being flipped on & off and as they do they're able to effect life process'. In time, they'll alter the ways we digest proteins, minerals & nutrients. When that occurs we will change, physically. In that it's happening right now; clearly in slight and imperceptible ways at first but we will change. We will become different. We will have to be different to eat and process poison food. And here's part of why *that* is a big fucking deal...

Cause while the proteins, minerals & nutrients in the stuff we call 'food' sustains us, they've been part of the tree of life forever. Food is a simple common, everyday miracle; and people really need to think allot more about it http://www.croptrust.org/main/arctic.php?itemid=211

Then why the fuck are you ignoring the court document I also posted? I suppose the whole fucking world could tell you GMO food is dangerous and you'll argue with the whole fucking world too, wouldn't you?

See people like you are the fucking nut cases, not the ones trying to inform the public over health & safety concerns. You remind me of right wing extremists who are poor and working class folks, but, by golly they'd rather go to hell before they open their eyes to the fact that a public health care option is for their benefit and the country's benefit.

BTW, you're not doing to good over at The Lancet too. This study was posted in The Lancet:

The Lancet: http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140673698058607/abstract

But I guess now you're going to say that The Lancet is just a conspiracy theorist propaganda outlet. No need to respond because like I said. You've been owned and I no longer will waste any of my time trying to educate you.

No, I prefer to argue with real people rather than made up people from Poopy Den, Afghanistan. Shit man, it's the first goddamn signature. How can you not see that this is rubbish?

See people like you are the fucking nut cases, not the ones trying to inform the public over health & safety concerns.

Internet petitions signed by people who do not exist is not a useful way of informing the public.

You remind me of right wing extremists who are poor and working class folks, but, by golly they'd rather go to hell before they open their eyes to the fact that a public health care option is for their benefit and the country's benefit.

This has nothing to do with a public health care option and everything to do with the fact that you are asserting total nonsense, accusing me and everyone else of disagreeing with the esteemed Dr. Hey I Like Your Site and the aforementioned guy from Poopy Den.

As for the study published in The Lancet, it does not say the same thing as your fabricated petition. At all. Red Herring Fail.
