33. No kidding. The younger Kennedy generation can sure make us proud.
I was crying, too. Throughout, but harder when he spoke.

14. He doesn't live in MA so can't run for that Senate seat
He lives here in my town in CT. His wife Kiki, who introduced the grandkids, nieces and nephews, has been very active in environmental issues for our shoreline.

I'm watching the funeral service on delay and am in tears after listening to the prayers offered by the grandkids, nieces and nephews. Haven't seen Teddy Jr's speech yet.

Is he a lawyer? Is he active in any public service? He's very impressive.

21. He is a lawyer -
we worked at the same firm for a couple of years (I was in administration). Acccording to Wikipedia he is still with the Marwood group which is where he went when he left my firm

"He is a co-founder and the president of the Marwood Group, a financial-services firm."

His wife was very active in successfully fighting Broadwater who wanted to put a LNG tank in the middle of Long Island Sound. I understand that they have been somewhat active in local political fundraising events.

31. Thanks.
I thought he might be, since that seems to be the preferred family vocation.

I was a nursing student, doing a pediatric rotation at UVa, when Bobby was murdered (he and Teddy both went to UVa. law school). Needless to say, the entire University was even more devastated than the general public.

29. It amazes me how many people don't realize that not all the Kennedy's live in MA and that it would
be required to be a resident of that state to run there.

16. He's not quite ready for the Senate
Those conservative Blue Dog sharks would eat him alive.

Let him cut those political teeth in the House.

I'd like to see either Frank or Markey run for the Senate seat.

18. Teddy Jr. has his father's looks, voice, and speaking ability (though green).
He was much more comfortable at the podium than Patrick, who is the Congressional rep.

28. Those of us who are older can clearly remember another 'green' speaker's voice
and delight in the possibility that yet another young voice will learn to roar as well as one who was once a young cub himself.

Ted Jr made me cry .

He seems like such a lovely person and his Dad would be proud of the beautiful speech he made today.
