Dear Kennedys. Today I am inspired to be a better person.
The example of your beloved Teddy and your own witness to the power of personal sacrifice inspires me to be better than I am.

I can try harder to mend relationships.

I can try harder to "be there" early and always for anyone.

I can be more generous of spirit, more tolerant, more thoughtful.

I can coach others to be winners through optimism and strength.

And yes, I can even think about going to church.

That's my goal.

Thanks for everything.

1. I've been crying since I woke up this morning and turned on MSNBC.
That was a lovely thing you just posted.

I'll kick this big time Grasswire, and I'll start being a better person with you my friend.
This old Irishman has a cold, broken, heart.
Maybe there is hope for me yet.
If Teddy could live the life he did after they did everything they could to kill him, and his entire family, well.
Maybe I can be half the man he was.

5. there is always hope...
...and always redemption. Isn't that the plot line of a million novels? Choose to live for others, and redemption comes.

2. If you can do good, you should.
I don't remember if that was Kennedy or Kerry, but I remember one of them said it. It seems such a simple thing, but very few put it into action and even fewer with the vigor of Ted Kennedy.

I join you.

8. To become more resilient is my task
To that effort, I must remember to follow Ted's example, and enjoy much more than I do. A DU friend recently recommended I be very kind to myself. She is correct. Only then will I find the energy to keep fighting the good fight.

Resilience takes sustenance from joy. I will try to remember that better and thank the lessons of EMK when I manage to put it into practice.

6. k&r
I think Ted Jr. was right, his work wasnt done. For me, posts and sentiments such as these are Teddy still at work.
Thank you grasswire for the reminder, and thank you Senator Kennedy for being such a great inspiration to so many.
