Gunnery Sergeant Hartmann wants to know the birthers' major malfunction
http://www.military.com/news/article/August-2009/ermey-says-hell-square-away-birthers.html

Lee Ermey, who claims to be apolitical and who actually LIKES the way President Obama's handling the War on Terror, says of the troops who are fighting deployment orders because they claim the president isn't really president, that he will square them away if he sees them.

This guy's an actual Marine--he remembers his oath to obey the orders of the President and doesn't remember there being "unless he's a Democrat" anywhere in the oath. Good on him.

1. Gotta love that guy...
I posted that about article a few days ago. The Freepers were all broken up about it, and strutting like the little peacocks they are, as if they could ever take on R. Lee.

Note that he says that he prefers to follow "logic" in politics, rather than parties. Not to seem complacent, but the way things are going, it looks like R. Lee will be an Obama supporter for some time to come.

2. Double good for him. Their problem is their brains. Their
brains are not working properly, and their true objection is first, the color of the president's skin, and second, which political party he is affiliated with.

4. Those fighting deployment on 'birther' founds are naught but yellow bellied scoundrels
looking to cover their naked cowardice.

Glad to hear gunny is taking them to task for it.

5. I love that guy.
That is great news. Glad to hear he's willing to do that because a lot of people that need to hear it are fans of his. Or were fans of his.
I think I'll watch Full Metal Jacket again to celebrate.

12. Kerry also had huge support from the enlisted people in the military too.
Some of the officer corp too ..... sadly the vote was recorded and handled by a private contractor .... KBR.
I have never see the data from the military vote in 2004.

I know that I volunteered for Kerry in OH 2004 and we had people from units in Iraq calling and contacting the
state HQ to try to make sure that their votes were counted.

8. Although Ermey
claims to be "independent" I have always pegged him as right of center (still a great actor whatever his political affiliations), which I'm sure he is, like a good chunk of the military. However, he is also a right honorable veteran that realizes that servicemen don't play politics while in uniform; that's something left for the civilians to squabble over. He respects the President because he is just that, the President and the Commander in Chief. These birthers in uniform refuse to deploy, not because they are conscientious objectors, but because they are right wing racist fanatics who refuse to serve a black man. Simple as that. They are a disgrace to the uniform.
