italy. the school year is going to get started on sept 14.

the Federation is asking the government to join the task-force working on tackling A/H1N1 virus pandemy and may ask the Minister to close the schools for some time.

the WHO launched another international alarm. a guy is in hospital in very serious conditions, the worst case in italy.

but to close the schools, basing such a decision on statistics - a decision that involves millions between children and families - sounds a bit too rushed to me.
carefulness is one thing. panic quite another.

anyway, it is just a suggestion. and i hope it remains such.

the news only in italian. sorry, could not find any english source:

2. For stay at home parents it would be easy, but what about all of the families
with working parents? It can mean financial hardship. I realize there are health concerns but some sort of arrangements should be made for this situation.
