1. Duncan Hunter is a raving lunatic
Throw these animals in a prison and throw away the key.
Tweety calls him on it - you're not being honest.

3. Is it the elder Hunter?
I can't stand that bastard. If he is on there they are afraid as we already know, and they are going back and bringing out old senators like Hunter,Delay,armey,etc..

11. These torture lovers need to be shamed, not debated
Debbie should just say, "You're an awful human being and you should be ashamed of yourself. Next question."

14. The report shows that the interrogators went beyond SERE training.
Edited on Mon Aug-31-09 04:22 PM by merh
"OIG’s review of the videotapes revealed that the waterboard technique employed at was different from the technique as described in the DoJ opinion and used in the SERE training. The difference was in the manner in which the detainee’s breathing was obstructed. At the SERE School and in the DoJ opinion, the subject’s airflow is disrupted by the firm application of a damp cloth over the air passages; the interrogator applies a small amount of water to the cloth in a controlled manner. By contest, the Agency interrogator continuously applied large volumes of water to a cloth that covered the detainee’s mouth and nose. One of the psychologists/interrogators acknowledged that the Agency’s use of the technique differed from that used in SERE training and explained that the Agency’s technique is different because it is “for real” and is more poignant and convincing."

I wish folks would prepare before they have these discussions.

15. Duncan Hunter peddled the stupid lines of,...

Oh, so you libs think we should have just talked to Khalid Shaikh Muhammad nicely? and We waterboard our own guys in SERE. Finally, toward the end, Tweety made the vital point that American troops in SERE know that their instructors do not intend to kill them, so that there's a cardinal psychological difference between waterboarding our own in training, and doing it to an enemy. Hunter also tried to pull the Israel card on Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, saying that Israel did tougher stuff, and was she going to call on the Israeli PM to step down? W-S said it was a red herring, that this is the US, and Tweety added at the end that it had been rather smelly for Hunter to play the Israel card on her. That was a bit much even from a knuckledragger like Hunter, his implication being: Not gonna criticize your Jew buddies there, are ya, Jewgirl? Huh? Huh?

17. OK, Duncan, you have kids in Iraq. I assume you will have no issue if they are captured and ...
their captors threaten to rape their mother (that would be your wife, Dunc), and their kids right in front of them. Then, for dessert, your sons would be water boarded. No problem, right?
