Ha! Tea Party Express begging for warm bodies!
Here's the text from their email pleading begging whining request (links altered by me):

By now you've no doubt heard of the http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Our_Country_Deserves_Better">"Tea Party Express" crossing this country, rallying Americans to stand up to the liberal politicians in Washington who are advancing their tax-spend-bailout policies.

The "Tea Party Express" is receiving a ton of media coverage (such as these reports from Fox News Channel) and has embedded journalists from Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, http://www.linkedin.com/in/kellengiuda">Parcbench, and the New York Times.

But that could all change if we don't get your immediate help. Producers for these news outlets are contemplating whether to "pull" their reporters from the "Tea Party Express" tour unless the crowds at our tea party rallies continue to grow over the next few days. The news outlets say that there has to be sign of building momentum and growth in importance/energy from these events.

So we here at the Tea Party Express are launching a new wave of TV advertising to get the word out to more Americans and get more conservatives to turn out, speak out and take action as part of the Tea Party Express.

But we need your help. We need to raise $49,275 in the next 48 hours to pay for this new round of TV advertising.

To help save the press coverage for the Tea Party Express, make a contribution - HERE.

Those poor, http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Our_Country_Deserves_Better">well-funded babies

3. Do you think that the Millionaire$Media wants to pay more taxes?
They know how to protect their own. It has nothing to do with what is good for the people or the country.

10. You notice they only show the most vitriolic and shocking ones too.....
the ones where guys are walking around carrying guns, etc. I've been to a town hall meeting that was stupid because it was hosted by a stupid Republican but it was fairly civil and the most illuminating thing that came out of it in my opinion at least is that the vast majority of the people there came from Texas and Georgia (not my state) and that this is like some sort of big jolly party for these people. They don't care about the issue. They're 50 somethings reliving their high school days or something. It's absurd.

2. Maybe they gain momentum
by slitting their wrists.

If it bleeds, it leads.

4. "But we need your help. We need to raise $49,275 in the next 48 hours"
That's not very republican of them. It seems to go against everything that they supposedly stand for. It goes against the rugged individualism, pulling ones self up by the bootstraps, and "all men are islands" mentality that they seem to preach about so fervently. As a matter of fact, if it was a bunch of dems doing that, they would call that *gasp* "SOCIALISM."

And since when in the hell, did a "grass roots movement" EVER have "embedded reporters?"

Oh well...we'll just throw it all on the "republican hypocrisy" pile with the rest of their bullshit.

6. It'd be amusing if moles would join up...
and more artfully expose the idiocy of that movement by laying the idiocy bare.

Holding signs like, "I ONLY TRUST INSURANCE COMPANIES TO DENY ME CARE, NOT THE GOVERNMENT!" or some such thing.

7. That would be highly productive and totally hilarious.
And, if all the rw idiots at DU got on the bus, who would be left for me to harass?

8. Trying to do just that in Pinellas County...
I already have my sign which reads "THESE UPPER-MIDDLE CLASS RETIREES ALREADY HAVE INSURANCE, AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS". Their next meetup is 9/14. Would love to find some locals to join me in their humiliation.

9. But Glenn Beck said the tea baggers surround us!
How can you build momentum when you're such a self-evident majority of the country?

I will credit this lame press release for one thing: "The news outlets say that there has to be sign {sic} of building momentum and growth in importance/energy {sic} from these events." I'm pretty sure that's exactly what the tea baggers have been told, and if they can put on a good enough show, they'll get coverage. Compare and contrast with major media coverage of anti-war and anti-Bush protests. There was no shortage of momentum; no lack of energy, and if war isn't important, what the hell is? And yet, it seemed the only coverage progressive protests could get was the tired footage of the whacko in the rainbow fright wig or the young anarchists proclaiming their individuality in their all-black ensembles.

But if these lying sacks of shit, dedicated to keeping Americans poor, sick and uneducated, can put on a good enough show, they will get respectful, even fawning coverage for their antics. "Liberal media," my sweet Aunt Fanny.

11. I heard one of the "embedded reporters" on NPR
He was saying the one thing all the tea party participants have in common is that they feel "they aren't being heard." (?)

12. It isn't that "they aren't being heard."
It's that "they aren't being heard" to the exclusion of everyone else. They have, thus far, proven to be utterly unwelcoming when it comes to other perspectives.

14. The funny part to me...
is people reporting on nationally broadcast media outlets about how they "aren't being heard."
