Tribute/Health Reform Rally tonight and the Repugnants had signs. I walked down the line of them and looked for spelling errors. There was a woman with one sign who was screaming at anyone who was entering the Tribute. Her scream was excruciatingly annoying.

I was talking to one dude who thinks gov't is full of liars. We were actually having an interesting conversation. But she kept screaming.

Finally, I turned to her and said,'Honey, I'm sorry you didn't get enough attention as a child, but this isn't helping anyone.'

I use them in my classes. I have a Powerpoint that I put the pics in and I take the students through them at the beginning of the year. I tell them that Writing 101 and 102 will help them avoid looking like an idiot if they ever want to express their opinion in a public forum.

The students love these Powerpoints. As students at the fourth most racially and ethnically diverse college in America, they are shocked and appalled at the prejudice and bigotry displayed by these protestors.
