Who Else Is Sickened By The Yahoos That Don't Want President Obama To Speak To Their Kids?
It's not his views. It's his hue.

Sad.

And yesterday I saw a bumper sticker that said "American Revolution 2010" implying this government is illegitimate and tyrannical.

I guess we really don't live in a post racial society.

2. Mostly I'm sad for the children. But for their parents they could be developing into real people.
and while some will persevere and develop normally despite their parents, we all know that many will adopt the racist views of their parents.

3. I'm not surprised at all.
and I doubt the Obama administration is either. I'm hoping he can do the same thing he did running for President and let the shear stupidity of this negative crap show the American people what a bunch of clowns this small minority is. He spent a long time refusing to even acknowledge the RushHannity Inc racial bullcrap until those idiots got so stupid about it the vast majority of Americans started laughing --- then Obama came out and gave one of the best speeches on race in America we've had for quite a long time. It's my hope he follows that pattern.

4. Racist hypocrisy at its worst.
Even when it's been well publicized that Reagan, Poppy, and Chimpy all had their video link to schools. Half Assed Monkey Boy used children as human shields on the morning of 9-11-01, for fucks sake.

6. Sickened? A zillion times worse than that. Embarrassed, outraged, utterly f*@king pissed off,
spitting mad, and these words don't even begin to explain how it makes me feel. Another theme - starting to feel hopeless about our country's future. Starting to feel like I wish to have no future contact with any Republicans, ever again.

You know one of the things I always appreciated in my years living in New Orleans was, unlike up north where I'm from, you never had to wonder who was a racist down there. They would tell you. This is kind of the same deal. If some racist douchebag says he doesn't want his children to be spoken to by the President of the United States, he's just saving me the trouble of ever giving him a second thought.

p.s. Before some Southerner jumps my shit for saying the South is racist, I'm only saying that, in my experience, the racism was merely more transparent, not necessarily more prevalent.

racist, stupid, ignorant cretins of the world.

I live in one of the reddest counties in the country, and manage, successfully, to have almost NO contact with anything from the reichwing

25. Explain how you conceive this to be racist..
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 03:21 PM by YellowdogIam
You fail to understand that the very term 'racisim and racist' has become a catch all phrase for any and everything that Obama adorers use when they encounter opposition.. it really doesn't matter what the opposition is about, it's racist you say..Don't you understand that you are doing more to hurt this administration than his enemies when you continually use that lame excuse?
News flash... everything , every argument, every opposite line of thought is not necessarily 'racist'..
If you really want to help President Obama, you need to use positive reinforcement and leave all that 'racist' crap out of it..when you say it, you're no better than the other side when they say it.

I can somewhat understand some parent's hesitancy about having their children watch a speech by the President during school hours..
If he sticks to a message of encouragement on education.. great, but if he goes rogue and starts to hawk his Health Care Reform Bill, you're gonna have some really pissed off people if they don't agree with his plan. Public school is not the correct platform for partisan projects

Is there no limit on right-wingers' hatred towards Obama?

Can you imagine the outcry if liberals had complained when President George HW Bush addressed our kids in 1991 discouraging the use of illegal drugs?

These people need to get a life.

19. Definitely sickened, but it's more than race.
What we're seeing is the unavoidable outcome of the Repub strategy of demonizing their opponents as "the most liberal candidate" since the last one. They've got nowhere to go except the extreme left of the spectrum, hence "SOSHULISM!!" You think it's bad now, just keep watching. My suspicion is that their party leadership has lost control. The beast that they've fed on hatred and bile is on a rampage, and all they can do is get out of its way.

I want them all to report to duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't quite understand why good people who need college educations are off fighting pointless wars supported by scumbags who won't fight them.

(Not that I wish to unleash them on the peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan either.)

31. The issue moved Tim Pawlenty from the moderate camp into extremism
PAwlenty was considered a moderate, but he said some extreme shit about Obama speaking to kids.

Democrats should push the point and paint Pawlenty an extremist now, but I doubt if they will. They have no sense of strategic rhetoric.
