4. and he has a way of disarming even those that vehemently disagree with him. He keeps them going in
a calm and rational conversation...in spite of themselves. He is quite amazing at dealing with those that disagree with him.

9. The speed of the drawing is impressive
and this is not a knock on Al Franken, because I am a big fan, but seriously folks... knowing what the map of the United States looks like shouldn't be considered some amazing feat, assuming you passed 5th grade.

14. Al Franken will be a GREAT Senator.
He has the curiosity, the intellect,the humility, and the confidence.

Humor is one of the surest indicators of both intelligence and empathy. As a writer he deployed a great research staff.

One of the all time greatest encounters in the history of the world is Al Franken vs. Bill O'Reilly at the Book convention right after he wrote Lies and the Lying Liars. I can watch it a hundred times on Youtube. I'm always surprised when O'Reilly doesn't just implode and leave only a little grease spot in his chair.
