her employer chooses to spend $13K on it? I guess because she was able to negotiate a good health plan as part of her package she should be punished? I guess he just isn't going to stand for that and people who obtain that deserve to be punished.

4. She doesn't mind her employer pays all of it.

I send a smaller and smaller amount each year as my HSA grows.

3. When I was in business, my health insurance premiums were taxed.
They were considered income. I think I would have been better off not offering health insurance to my employees and just buying a single plan for myself.

came back up as a real political fight) that the paycheck would be larger if they "weren't forced to offer health care" in the benefits package?

Seems to me there was that argument a few years back ... but then, they wouldn't have given the raises anyway ...

because when wages are negotiated, health care issues get "traded" for wage increases.. a double whammy..
