I was an old AF troop a long time ago, and I have to say that my experience there opened me up big time.
Rooming with folks you may have never had an opportunity to meet, if not for the uniform you were wearing was life changing for me.
Cats from Memphis and Jackson, Mississippi and Baton Rouge and Chicago and Houston and everyone had records and everyone had turntables and everyone listened to everything.

I was weaned on funk but I fell in love with jazz.
